Well, this past weekend our club attended the Western Reserve 4 Wheelers Labor Day event held at Tri County Fairgrounds with trailrides at Wellsville, OH.
We went trail riding Sunday with Kevin from WR.. He took us on a sweet creek trail with lots of rocks and opportunity to get twisted up! The trail lead to an uphill climb that started out just as rocks and then turns into a Waterfall/stairstep hill climb. On both sides of this climb is banked dirt so it is a little tight for a fullsize but I managed to fit. My friend Ryan and I were the only two fullsizes on the ride and we both made it to about the same places on the climb before having to back down. We are only locked in the rear and if we had front lockers, we could have made it all the way. Ryan went irst and back down and then it was my turn. At the ppioint where i was not making it any farther I decided to try one last time and then back down. Well, Ryan was spotting me and told me to head a little right so I turned the wheels and gave it hell! I started spinning and my front end slid to the right. As the front end slid, the passenger side tire grabbed the soild embankment on the right and shot the front of the Emmett skyward. Luckily I had my spare tire and carrier on the back because I came to a stop while Emmett was resting on the back tires and spare tire with the passenger side rear resting on the side of the hill. The front tires were completely off the ground and the engine stalled... I sat there for a few moment which felt like a hour. I waited while the pictures were taken and then cautiousl reached for the key and fired it back up. Luckily all it took to get it back down was putting it in reverse and backing slowly. Antoher luck thing for me is that I didn't have to change my shorts once I got to the bottom of the hill!
Below are links to a few pics from the creek trail and the pics of the waterfall/stairstep trail will be posted soon, ASAP!!!!!!
Enjoy
