Broke a shock off on the first hill in this video. Ran out of gas on a big long steep hill, and realized my steering REALLY needs upgrades and I need new shocks. Had fun with ssped(member here). Nice meeting you Ed and your family.
I'm glad I'm not a web wheeler, I just have a little bit of leaf foot syndrome.:wink1::laugh:
My dad went with us. His first time off roading with me. He narrirate's a little bit on a scene:haha:

Cool vid Branndon! Much better than burnout vids IMO. Good to see that truck in a more suitable environment. Sucks about the shock, but sometimes thats how you find the areas that need some more work. I've had my fair share of stuff break off too...:doah:

Ed seems to have a pretty smooth driving style...I'm always impressed with 'wheeling elegantly' though.

Yah you drove right up it the 1st time. I gota be smooth its a 6.2. all torque and no power.

Brandon that was my little bro with me. that truck used to be his when it was stock it was fun showing him what it will do now. He had a great time. I gota git my pops out and scare him a little.

I used to live in Mission Viejo. I lived there from 1975 to 1990. I have been wheeling where you where at many many times. Back in the 70's, where you guys/gals where at was considered out in the middle of no-where. We could wheel out there all day long, and not see another human being. Now it is a small oasis of open land surounded by humanity.

back in the late 70's to mid-80's we used to go wheeling in places close to Silverado canyon like Black Star canyon, Holy Jim Canyon, and the Valley of Flies, for which the entrance was located at the top of Majeska canyon. most of these places have been closed off to the public or built on years ago. Hell, when I first moved to Mission Viejo, the road we used to get out to these canyons was Old El Toro Road, back before Silverado Canyon Road was built.

Thanks for the vid and the memories it brings back .

It was from Maple Springs going up silverado. a lot of it is still open but there used to be a lot more. I remeber when eltoro just drove into the mountains after a few blocks from the freeway.

I knew that was your bro. Andrew it was... But he's still family :)After I ran out of gas on that hill, I had to drive up it one handed, I have a shoulder problem and it tore right when I shifted into drive:eek1: hurt like heck but I made it up ok. :)

I crawled up that hill very easy once, slow and smooth, my dad missed the video, so the 2nd attampt I had fun. I used to wheel elegant... until I got the caddy. lol All my blazer videos are pretty smooth
http://www.branndoncoelho.com/blazer/videos/index.htm :) but this big block is just too much fun.

I wasn't criticizing you're wheeling style...:doah:

I find it's really easy to 'wheel elegant' with a 6.2...

Its ok, I know you weren't. I just get defensive about it because I used to wonder why people would get on it when they didn't have to. Now I know though. Its because we like broken parts. lol

damn branndon, from far away, your truck looks like a ferd, then it comes closer you quickly realize its a k5...a ferd could never sound that mean:haha:

sweet vid and truck as always:bow:

They make Qjets for boat use and off road racing. the bowl vent is curved back into the primary venturi. I always loved a good Qjet or a AFB. that motor is a monster in there. it was cool to watch those swampers churning dirt into compost.
