I change my 14bSf to a 14bFF in my '85 burb. The new axle is an older axle from a '74 K20. Would the yokes be the same? If not, what yoke should the FF have?

I know if they were both '85s the parts store shows the same ujoint. But when I put my axle to this one there is play, the ujoint caps are set wider than what was on the SF axle.

Make since? How does one measure to see what yoke is what?

Thanks

14bff should take a 1350 joint (if it has the stock yoke). I would have expected the 14bsf to also but :dunno:. I think both axles are either too old and/or too big to take a 1310 or S44 like the 1/2 tons. Beyond that I am very little help.

both should have a 1350 joint from factory

You measure the cap diameter and the overall distance from cap to cap for joints.
