were to find gear ratio...HELP!!!

alright heres what i found...its only me right now but im gonna get my girlfriend to help me when she gets home....i know this cant be correct but i got 1 turn of the tire gives me like 2.75 turns of the driveshaft im gonna check it again...as far as govlock i dont think there is one...i spun both this morning in dirt and slid sidewas but im only getting one tire spinng at a time...it must be a posi....if i spin one fast the other spins but in reverse...wtf...i dunno it spins both...im gonna go count again...

You've either got a govlock or open diff. Posi spins same direction, the axles are held together at all times.

If you spin the tire hard/fast (one quick motion) by hand you can sometimes get a gov-lock to lock. You'll know.

2.73 gears were one that GM used, but I doubt in 14 bolts. If it's open, you need two rotations to get the correct ratio.

For all this effort you'd already know the ratio and gov-lock or no authoratatively, as well as their conditon, and that they have good fluid, if you pop the covers.

i tried spinning them both hard but never got anything...if you spin one slow then the other doesnt move....spin hard the other one just moves in reverse it looks like...

I got it wrong the way I told you you need to spin the tire two revolutions.
