well, i replaced the caliper in question, grinded it down to clear the brakes, new caliper bolts/washers/pads/etc....and i was trying to bleed the system but for some reason, everytime I(or the guy helping) hits the pedal...it shoots a dang fountain of fluid out of the master cylinder, some got on my paint, motor etc...and it was fun cleaning it...but every time we even gently touch the pedal it shoots like old faithful....anybody know what im doing wrong here...

engine is off, and fluid is topped off...not too full. it's a definate gusher.

The master cylinder will squirt fluid out the top for the first little bit of pedal movement. Make sure you have the cover on to prevent a huge mess.

well, its official guys.....I AM AN IDIOT!!!! haha....for some odd reason i always thought i used to do this with the lid off. haha....you'd think if i can swap to one tons i could bleed a damn brake system. geuss not. i am retarded...thanks guys

Fret not my fellow CK5 brother. We've all done stupid sh!t at one time or another. You just happened to do it on a public forum in front of millions and billions of people all across the world. LOL.:haha:

haha...yeah, no kidding. what a tard. anyways, thanks guys. oh yeah, im supposed to use water instead of DOT 3 and drive for a while to "flush" out the system right....thanks

Actually, I bleed the cylinder with the cover off, but only if the master is bled first. If you have air in it, it'll spout like that.
