I blame myself for even buying it, honestly. I heard mixed opinions on ACC stuff, but I took the chance anyways. Boy do I regret it. $200 wasted. Yay. Got the vinyl floor kit for my truck. It was like trying to put an 8 ft set of french doors in a mini cooper, it just isn't going to happen!:mad::mad:

The carpet kit in my blazer is from them and it fits better than factory.

I think your just frustrated by the cold, come to az, tell a few girls you are working on the interior and would like some help..leave the tools on the ground and ask them to pick them up and hand them to you.
:D

Hmm. Since this will be a 80% road queen, and 20% trail duty (light trails) I may splurge for their carpet, in black. I just want this thing done, and I`m really starting to get overwhelmed (with winter settling in).

whats wrong with it? i havent heard anything about it

Hey, uh Ben. Cold and vinyl don't play well with each other. Try leavin the viny in your room with the heat cranked up to 75 for an hour or 2 spread out on the floor. Go get a cofee at double d's, chill outm, have a corona and see if it'ts any easier to work with. Is it a fitment issue, or is it not even the right size. They might have packaged it wrong too.
Oh by the way, PM'd ya.

read the post above you numbnuts ;), its been in 65-70 degree heat for 2 months laid out on the floor. Its so called "vaccum molded". Sounds to me like one of those things where you make it in the cab (form it), then it has to stay there, in that cab, because you`ll never get it out, never less back in a different vehicle.`

I got the same vinyl kit for mine and found the same thing. There's no way it was vaccum molded. Mine fits ok except over the rear wheel wells and the tranny tunnel.

If you're gluing it down, you can probably use a heat gun to let it stretch around the compund corners a little bit before the glue dries.

got one just like that for my old truck. acc black rubber floor kit. i even installed mine in the summer and layed it out in the sun on black top for a few hrs.

my fellings was IT SUCKED BA!!S FOR FIT.

i want a source for o.e.m. gm kits. i would buy 3-4 of them for the right price.

Im about to order some acc black carpet for my reg cab 97. I sure hope it fits good, i think it will since the carpet is alot different than the rubber type flooring and really should be pre molded.

I ordered a complete set of ACC carpet for my Blazer. Absolute CRAP! They advertise it "Meets or Exceeds OEM specs". I call BS.

The carpet itself was not nearly as thick or high quality as the original. The wheelwell pieces were too short and didn't cover the wheelwells completely like the factory carpet.

A good friend of mine told me that on a Mustang forum guys are so disgusted with ACC they will literally buy an old Mustang with decent carpet just to harvest the carpet out of it. Then they have it dyed.

My carpet was in decent shape, but faded in places. I had it dyed and while it doesn't look perfect, it's much better than it was and I like it better that the ACC junk.

The sad thing is there was another company in Doraville, GA that made high quality replacement carpet. ACC bought them out and closed the plant.

My advice: Stay away from ACC!
