what am I missing?

I have a 72 Jimmy, new 290 horse 350, turbo 350 np205, 4" lift 33 mudders. I also have an 84 suburban donor, 3/4 ton with sm 465 np 208. I'd like to end up with the 465 np205 set up and the 3/4 ton running gear and a 6" lift.

Question is what's gonna bite me in the ass? what's not gonna work and what should I start on first?

Oh, I also have an sw racecars roll cage with an extra main hoop sitting and waiting too.

Work on items in this order:

1. Safety
2. Reliability
3. Capability

It's really that simple. If something isn't safe, fix that as your top priority. Then go through and insure that anything that all those 35-year-old parts are still reliable enough to get you to the trails (and back!) without breaking down or falling off. Finally, once you have everything else done you can start playing around with softer springs, long travel shocks, more power, etc.
