Of finding a good running SBC 350 that just needs to be cleaned up? I need one for cheap next spring for the blazer.
I also need a SBC 350, but it doesn't have to be running. I want to use that to rebuild and learn on.

They have to be cheap, I don't have much money to spare, and I need at least one engine for the blazer. The one I "have" the P.O. owns it, and it wants it. I will check to see if I can buy it off him, but I doubt it, unless i'm paying big $$$
Thanks

they are around, start asking everybody, soemone will know of one, ive had to take many to shredder, some ive had to drive to shredder just because no one wanted them, its crazy

good luck

Hey I have both but shipping will probably kill the deal.
I have a nice running 350 from an 84 3/4ton truck with only 85k original miles, has some leaky valve covers otherwise nice engine.
ANd i have a nice rebuilder, it was converted to propane and after a month it started blowing a little smoke so the guy ripped it out.
The rebuilder I could give you the other one is $350.
You have to take both to get the free one.
:D

Stupid question, if it is converted to propane, do I have to convert it back to gasoline, or does it have nothing on it right now?
I don't have the money now, but if you still have them in the spring I might consider. Where abouts do you live? Shipping might hurt :(

Yeah it's a long block now, no propane stuff.
I am in Sacramento like it says under location :D
If in the spring time I might be making a trip to Washington, maybe we can meet half way it would cost you probably less, in the meantime I will weigh it and see what it would cost with Forward air, I have one here, do you have a terminal for forward air close by?
I wouls sell you the rebuildable for $50 if you don't want the other, but I think you get a good deal with both.

If I do buy from you, I would get both:)
Yeah, check the shipping cost and all that, who knows, it might be a good deal! I don't know if I have one near me, are they just called forward air?
What time in the spring? I might not have a truck to haul it home from Washington by then. :( both the blazer and jimmy should be getting torn apart in feb.
Thanks!!

Yes forward air.
You can go on their website and check your area.
Mine is 30minutes away.
As for the spring it will be no earlier than MAY.

Alright... If the shipping isn't too much, I will probably get you to ship them forward air in the spring. BUT if I can get at least the Jimmy running better, I may meet you in washington.
I will check forwardair to find a location near me.
Thanks!

EDIT:
I checked forward air's site, and the closest location is in washington :(

Steve, are you really willing to drop close to a grand US and drive nearly 18 hours for a couple of used small block Chev's?

That makes as much sense as driving 2000 miles for a Big Mac.

Check locally first, then check here:

Rene (no offense to anyone trying help Steve out by selling him a motor)

I have been checking locally, I found a SB for 2 grand or something a few weeks ago. There isn't a lot of resources around here, and I'm not the guy to ask...

It wouldn't be a grand us either, maybe including forward air charges... ahh maybe your right.
Thanks for the adivce im on the site right now. The thing is, I just try to keep things simple. But in the end I need to save money. I'll see what that site turns out.
Thanks...

Steve theres ****loads of 350's around...they're not hard to find. Next time I get one I'll let you know, I sold the last running 350 for 300cad
Maybe it's just me, but I can't find any. I also think I am really shy...
Let me know if you find one. In the mean time I guess I'll keep looking.

I have a running 305 that just needs new bearings plus a rebuild able 4 bolt main 350 short block. I'd sell you the pair for $150. I wouldn't have any trouble working out another trip up that way if you wanted to pay for the diesel too.

Steve, if you want I can help you look for one here.

Might consider joining up at www.bc4x4.com as well. They have classifieds and a lot of guys are from the interior.

Another local site is www.funinbc.com

Anytime you don't HAVE to deal with border BS it's a lot easier and less spendy. I know your budget isn't huge...

Kenny, I will keep your offer in my back pocket if I can't find anything in B.C.
Thanks!!

I'll sign up at bc4x4.com and head over to funinbc too and search around.
If you can look for one once and a while that would be good!
Thanks for the help!

I'll keep my eyes open Steve. If I find anything interesting I'll email the ad to you.

One thing...the guys at funinbc.com are similar to the guys at pirate, but they spell worse than Z3PR. I'd stick to the ads there...
