what are the split yrs for steering columns

i need an 89 spd so can i use an 83 4spd?what year can i use for bolt in app?

I think 84 was the first year for the dimmer on the column. My 83 pick-up still has the foot dimmer.

I concur , but beware there was a year split on the harness's too I believe My 80 column wouldn't fit a 76 because of the plug

so maybe blade fuse trucks use a different column ??? so that would make 3 different columns??
