What are the stock size tires?

I'm looking at a 1980 K5 and the guy has 33/12.50-15 on it now but the middle of them are almost bald. I'm going to need new tire but don't have a ton of money to get another set of 33's

What is the stock size or average size that are on a stock 4x4

I don't plan on climbing or muddin, just using it as a spare 4x4 incase I need it.

The factory size would be a 31" or equivalent.

Not necessarily. A lot of them had 235/75R15's on them. By 1980 I would think they would have factory radials, but I am not positive.

What gears are in it?

I'd go with 31s. It's definitely the most common size, and easily replaceable.

my 1990 blazer had 31- 10.50 stock size

31"s (285.65.16 IIRC) & ~2.5" lift

Thanks for all the replies guys, I was searching on craigslist and found 4 33's with ¼ tread left for $50 so I'm picking them up on Sat. They'll work for now till I can afford some new ones.

Many trucks Came with the 235s Martin said. It was a upgrade to get the 31s and mine came stock with 265 75r tires on it. 245 was the base size in 94. For the most part anywhere from a 29 to 31 inch tall equivalent x 9.5-10.5 width was stock.
