I am hooking up CB communications back up in my vehicles and house. And I was wondering what type of cable to use. I have a **** load of RG*6 from my satilite dish. But I have heard RG*58 is better for CBs. Something about the ohm rating?! Can anyone help me out?

Technically you should be using something like RG-58, RG-8X mini RG-8 or RG-213 which is all 50 Ohm cable which your radio is designed for. However, RG-6 is 75 Ohm cable and it will still work just fine except you will never get a VSWR better than 1.5:1 but that isnt a problem. If your under 2.5:1 you wont notice any difference in xmit or receive performance.
