Ok well i have a deal on a 406 sitting in a guys garage because i need a engine to replace my hydrolocked 350, well i got a call saying lets go puddling (going fast though puddles and it makes big waves) well i did it a few times and about the 4th time i did about 45 into 3 feet of water and i guess i got water in my open element and the engine died, well took spark plugs out water came out every piston and engine is locked up, took oil pan off and.....#8 cylinder rod is bent and the piston skirt is digging into the crank and i just built this engine...well time to upgrade. I am trying to decide a cam i should get for this 406 im getting and im putting vortec heads off my engine onto it with my edelbrock intake, i dont really wanna upgrade the heads but might get new springs if have too, i love the lumpy idle but also love torque, i was looking into a comp cam Xtreme 4X4 but can u guys head me in the right direction and help me choose a cam. links would be great guys btw i have a stock stall TC

So what can do u think i should get, i was looking at teh com Xtereme 4X4 one but didnt know what one, like what one will work with my ported and polished vortec heads but i dont really wanna get different springs and have them accommodate more lift
