What cams are you guys running for your DD's?

and now it all makes sense!!

so I want something with a semi-short duration and little intake/exhaust overlap (if any)

sound about right?

what does the variation in lift do? Sorry if I'm being that guy, I'm just trying to get informed. I love knowing this stuff.

Teach a man to fish..

The lift value will either increase or decrease the amount of fuel and or exhaust that can enter or leave the engine. Just as an example, lets say you have 210* duration and .450" lift, you can have more fuel (or exhaust depending on which valve) enter or leave the cylinder by increasing the lift without changing how the engine runs (that's basically it in a nutshell). There are other variables but this might help you understand better.

So a cam with more lift will have more potential output with correct lifters and rockers and all that stuff?

So I want..
-Low duration.
-more lobe separation for a smooth idle (and some brakes when I'm decending.)
-And a reasonable amount of lift to match my current rockers.
