My story:

Had weird knock on the frong of my block--replaced belts, alt, and tightened everything. noticed while tightening alt. the pulley has a crack running 180 degrees around. went to a couple junkyards to no avail. ended up welding the crack up. when the motor is on you can see it wobble still-----

is this going to hurt anything? im still going to get another pulley but for the short term (to work and back) what is this problem going to cause?

have you checked your fan clutch? it might be the cause of the wobble. If its bad enough it can cause the ears of the pump to break. That's what happened on mine

might be hard on the bearings. and, at higher rpms, i can imagine the belt hopping around. it depends on how bad it is
