hey guys, i got a "stock" 350 and am in need of replacing the carb on it..its got a quadrajet but have been told it cant be rebuilt. what would yall recomend.. i use tis truck mainly in the mud and light trails..no rocks...im sorta on a tight budget so cheap and effective is what i need..thanks

i got mine off a late 70's model corvette. 650 cfm i beleive. it has worked great hasnt given me any problems and has surprised the hell out of me with the degree of hills i can climb. but i really wouldnt spend to much on a carb for a stock 350, dont believe you would benefit from it to much. unless of course you just want somthin shiny underneath your hood. goodluck

I am happy with my edelbrock q-jet. You can find a stock q-jet for probably nothing and put a $25 kit in it. Heck, I have a bucket of stock q-jets

Too bad edelbrock quit making quads. Why did they do this? When I finally saved up enough money for one, they quit making them. Instead, I settled for the Summit brand quad. Hopefully it will perform well.

Any idea who might be making those Q-jets for Summit to private-label?

That would be something i would be interested in..if someone could point me in the direction of a new q-jet that would be what i'd like to go with..thanks.
