i was mainly looking at the holley truck avenger 670 or 770 cfm
Or edelbrocks thunder series AVS offroad carb which is only available in a 650 cfm.

Just wanted some opinions on which carb is better for the offroad scene and how does the edelbrock carb work?

Two of my other 4wheeling buds have the TruckAvenger carb and they seem to do well. I just dont want a carb that is going to be high maintenance

What CFM would work best for my app?
its a 454 .030 over with an edelbrock dual plane rpm air gap manifold, mild comp cam, and headers desktop dyno says 350 hp and 530 ft lbs of tq.

any helps appreciated thanks

alrighty, does the 770 cfm holley have the same problems that ive read about with the hesitation and then some people had to return them or was that only for the 670 cfm one?

As far as tuning the carb should it be good right outa the box like they say? or do you gotta fidel with it?

out of the box.. I dont think there are many carbs that will just bolt and go...

also I dont know about the hesitations but that is an easy fix.... bigger accelerator pump and discharge nozzles... = more fuel..... but no hessitation

There was a design change from the first run that came out. That problem has been fixed and if you have one of the problematic carbs Holley will replace it free of charge
