what carrier

i have just found out that the gears are striped in the front. So I want to go with 4:56. What do I do? It is currentlly running 3:42's i know it is stupid to put any money into a 10 bolt front, but hey parts are cheap. I don't have the money for a dana 60. but hey a guy needs to have fun right? anyway my questoin is this do I need to get another carrier? the truck is half ton and an 87. help me out please

I am pretty sure that with the 10 bolt the carrier break is really high like 2.73 or something. You should be fine but I am not 100%.

The case break is 2.56 only and then 2.73-5.57 so same carrier.
