I have a 74 that I am building into a dedicated trail clean up truck.

I am a bit undecided on the color. I just received a Hartley TNT grill for the truck and need to make a choice on the final color of the truck.

It is tan now.

I like the green idea too. Since I want to promote a positive image of 4 wheelers I want to avoid the old flat OD green beater look. The new Rescue Green might give it a neat look.

Wonder if you could find out the paint code for the green that Waste Management uses on their trucks? :D You could always do a mountain/waterfall/lake/deer mural on the hood!:haha:I say if the current paint isn't bad, leave it. Tan is good, and it's just gonna get scratched anyways.

Current paint was a $40 shake-n-shoot paint job over some rust and dents. One of the guys on Colo4x4 has volunteered to help/do the bodywork. I need to order some parts and get it media blasted. Just have not had much time with all the snow in Colorado. (which also lead me to cooking the TH350 in the truck, so now it needs swapped out).

I would like to get it ready for MOAB EJS.

Forest service green and if you are really set on the Waste Management green just go to one of their shops and ask about the color. If you are not in a hurry once it gets warmer I can go to our land fill center and talk to one of the wrencher when they have the doors up.

I think you just called my truck a beater.

I like either green and green fits in with the purpose of the truck, to keep the environment clean:wink1:

My vote is for the Rescue Green. A modern color that is EZ on the eyes.
The color will look great on the trail, as well as on the street getting there.

IMO the grill should match the body color..:D

If you need anything else prior to Moab, let me know if i can help.

Hugger orange, so it will stand out.

x2..some1 is tired and carring a heavy bag of trash or debris..they may have to carry it further if its green and they have to hunt the truck down because they forget exactly where the truck is...if its blaze orange..hunter orange even if they do forget..... the truck would be screaming here i am!

Rescue? As in rescue me from this pea soup green vehicle?:surepal::surepal::shame:

Something bright like yellow, red, or Orange. so it stands out.

Now, if they could SPELL color...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

But I agree 100% with either orange or some kind of red that will stand out, not blend in.

I figured rescue green would make it stand out.

Now that I see this picture, my truck appears to be rescue green...I love the color of my truck and would like to change my vote to rescue green. When you're tallying up the votes, take one away from OD Green and add it to Rescue Green...:D

Not a fan of the orange at all. That is why it is not a choice. Though it has been suggested a lot on other forums too.

The problem with forest service green is that people would simply think the forest service is out cleaning up after 4 wheelers. Not 4 wheelers being responisble and taking care of the trails.

This is also why I would like a nice paint job on it that makes the truck look like people care. EVERY part on the truck has been donated by companies that do care and want to help make a positive image for our community. A little extra shine will go a long way in helping that.
