u mean an older gm sensor? if so just say u need one for an 87 blazer

Do Not buy Bosch...go Anyplace else and get Delco. On my 89, I've had Bosch crap right out of the box. I will never buy Bosch under any circumstances.

i hear this all the time, we use bosch sensors at the shop and rarely to never do we have any problems with em. dunno. maybe we have good luck with em and everyone else dont.

I am getting the O2 sensor for an A/F ratio meter. Do I want up stream or down stream or does it matter?
Up stream or downstream? I don't get it. Best to get as many cylinders as possible "captured", but the sensor needs to be hot as well. Three wire (heated O2's) are good for this.
You do realize that narrow band O2 sensors are essentially worthless for actually watching AF ratio, right?

up stream is before the cat. down is after. my 89 has a one wire o2
Ahh...up stream then.
It is easy to run a 3-wire sensor. Just pick up switched 12v from your fuse pannel and then ground the -12v. They provide much more stable readings (especially if you have headers) as they are not dependant on exhaust temp.

Well piss. I already picked up the single wire upstream. What did a 3 wire come on?
Just ask your parts guy for a 3 wire sensor. Let them figure it out. the 12v on the sensor heats it to 600degrees instead of reling on the exhaust to heat it.

My parts guy probably doesn't even know what an O2 sensor is. I need to know what it came on so the computer can tell the parts guy what shelf it is on and what the # on the box is. I am going to try the single wire first. Thanks for the help guys!
I may still have the box with a part number for the 3 wire i installed in my 89 blazer. I'll take a look and post back if i still have it. Try a 75-1569. Sorry i don't know what brand that is but it's from a Car Quest store.
