ok so over the weekend i've been working on my 93 fs blazer - fixing the ac switch aswell as a flush and recharge of the freon, change oil, fix door look, changed old sept belt and put in hole pioneer system in and after getting all that done at like 11pm last nite i was driving up a wet hill on my street and i mashed the gas to the floor to see if i could get the tires to break loose and the battery light poped on and the metter doesnt show that it is charging that well and this morning when i cranked her up she ideled high for awhile- what did i do and how dow i fix it?
did i fry the altenator try to lay a wheel or what -any help is greatly appre. thx-hunter

oh and now that i fixed the a/c when i turn it on from low to med to high the speedomiter jumps like 5ml per hour and when the rec is on it jumps up and down and stays at like 20mph at a dead stop-help!

well i actualy put the head unit in like 2 weeks ago and i just went out to look over everything and now shes giving me the strong clickclickclickclick with the metter at a quarter reading-headachesssss

ok i jumped it off of my dads car and she cranked right up but while it was running i disconected the neg and she shout off. doesnt that mean the altenator is bad or do i un hook the pos?

You "fixed" it:haha::haha: I'm going with the AC switch:D Check your wiring, what circuit you wired into, etc. If you don't find anything start looking at the wiring close to where you were physically working. You've got power bleeding off one wire to another somewhere probably. Either in fixing you made a mistake in wiring or pulled, crossed, broke, cut, or shorted other wiring.

Finally there is the possibility they are unrelated but figure that as a last resort.

So you jumped it and when you pulled the neg jumper it quit?

How many volts does the battery show post to post without the engine running?

Now how many volts does the battery show metering between the positive post and a good ground? Try putting the neg meter lead in several places like on the fender, at the radiator and somewhere on the block. All should be above 12v and close, like within 1 volt. Make sure your lead is on bare metal. If it's low or non-existant scratch through any paint to make sure you have a good connection.

Disco the jumper or disco the neg cable batt to truck? IE; never disco the batt while the engine is running.
