Re: what did I get my self in to now?

if it were me....I'drun down to pep boys, get the conversion box sold for trailer wireing and install that way. Most blazers have abrown wire for lights(parking, tail, markers, etc...) a light green for reverse, green for right blinker and brake, and yellow forleft blinker and brake. If you hook those wires tothe converter, it willshow on the directions where to tie what wire, the opposite side of the converter will have five wires, seperating the brake and signals. Sometimes its a hard find part, if you run into problems....check R.V. places...thats where I got mine. I had to seperate them for a trailer I once had. Hope that helps and not confuses. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Just do like Grim said. Except I dont see why you would need to run a wire from the fuse box to the switch.

Use the turn/brake wire for the turn signals. Disconnect the side of the switch (brake pedal) that feeds the brake lights. Hook up a new wire to that and run it back to the lights. Shouldnt be hard at all.

You can't just wire the yota lights in because you get feedback through the turn signals that lights up all the lights when you turn on the signals or step on the brakes, IIRC.

The trailer connector I have came from U-haul. It is a sealed box about 1.5"x2"x3/8 with 4 wires going in (R stop/turn, L stop/turn, tail, ground) and 6 coming out (R turn, stop, L turn, tail, ground).
