what dif/locker would you run?

I just picked up a 90 suburban. It has a 6.2 diesel, 700r4 and 241. I have a d60 and 14 bolt with 5.13 gears. I have a lock-rite in the front and can't decide on what to do for the rear. I have welded spider gears that i can install, but welds can break and i don't feel like dealing with possible breakage in the future. do it once is what i want. I like the idea of a mini spool for the price, but like the detroit for that slightly better street manners(even though this thing will be towed most everywhere once i get a trailer) but it cost 200 more than the mini spool. What are you opinions??

Welded spiders as long as they are done right. Carry a spare shaft and spend the $ on something else for the rig.

strongest diff u can get is an ARB. I don't like air hoses, so I went with a detroit. Works for me.

arb airlocker!full control, the freedom of a open diff on the road and locked off road( iff nessesary) simply the best and the airhose is not that wrong you got a brake line too isn,t it! whiths is on almost the same location

Another vote for the detroit. Ive heard of a lot of lockers breaking...even arb's...but rarely hear of someone breaking a detroit. Im running a detroit in my 14ff with 37's and I beat on it hard. It works flawlessly....

Not sure myself, but the price difference makes it not worth it to me.
