 i want to do a 700r4. i have a th350 now. they say the 700 will move my tcase back appx 2". the yoke on the 208 with the 350 is close to this crossmember. if the 700 moves the tcase back it will surely hit it or be within a red pubic hair of it. can i just relocate the crossmember back a little?  :o

relocate it or build a new one

so it is no big deal to move it back? i can just cut it off and reweld it back in place? it dosnt connect anything or support anything. it wont hurt the integrity of the frame? they( crossmembers) dont have to be in a certain location?

Ouch man. sounds like it would hurt.

But on a more serious note rewelding no not a big deal... cutting, big deal. Be careful with cutting it off.

And to answer your question 2" back is not gonna hurt a thing if you move it. My rig has 2 crossmembers in places that are not stock. Just make sure your careful if you cut it off... fuel lines are near there and the frame is something you don't want to f*ck with when it comes to cutting.

hold up a second you have a 208 with a th350 ? is so Im assuming you have the 2" spacer between the t-case and trans if so remove the adapter and you should be good to go

the spacer is to make up the difference between the two trannys if you remove the adapter it sholuld be the same overall length
