I'll probably still call but i have a day or 2 before i can---

the website says some machining is necessary to bolt the 203 to the factory 700-208 adaptor---what exactly do i need to do?

3 options:
1: short shaft in 700 with stock TH350/203 plate, price is $160 and it has to be installed in the trans meaning the trans has to be taken apart, almost all the way apart. Advantage is it's solid, meaning no extra bolt joints, etc and it's short.

2: use factory output shaft and factory 208 adapter and re-drill the front of the 203 to match the 208 adapter. The 203 re-do is pretty simple, we have a template and procedure sheet we can send with the rest of the parts, it'll be a couple hours and is easily done with a drill press. Advantage is again it's a one piece adapter, it has all exposed fasteners and you don't take the trans apart. Replacement parts are also really easy, they're all stock. Problem is it's longer by 1-2" than the TH350/203 plate.

3:use a spacer to make the factory output shaft look shorter and use the stock 203 plate. This is the most cumbersome way to go, it uses and extra piece, still has blind bolts and it's long. It's just a little easier than either other way. We carry spacers, they're $75.00.
