This truck was posted in the ebay/craigslist section, Ive been talking to the owner and Im thinking about buying it but Im in Kentucky and its in Washington.

Kinda curious what yall think about this truck and if it would be worth shipping back to Kentucky.

Think it would be worth the extra cash to ship back to KY?

I love everything about it. The color, the patina, the tires and lift combo. I would rock that all day long.

Cant go wrong with that for $4000.

Its got a good low miles 454, a gear vendor OD, a rebuilt t400, one tons and is rust free... Its worth more than that parted out.

Its too big for my taste. If it was a short bed non dually, I'd hump it all day long. sounds like a killer drivetrain, and looks like its been done right and tastefully. if its as good as he says it is, Id say its a pretty bad ass truck. having driven a TH400 on the road, as a DD, its not my favorite option, but the gear vendors unit is a big selling point for highway driving.

Depending on the selling price and cost of shipping, Id say its a solid go do what makes ya happy moment.

I think it would be worth the money but it just makes me nervous to buy something that Im not able to look over and drive myself.

Would anybody be interested in taking the time to give a good look over this truck and drive this truck to see if anything would be wrong with it?

You should check with y5mgisi - he lives real close to Castle Rock, and I know he's been willing to look trucks over for other members in the past. :wink1: Very cool truck.

I live about 40 minutes from there. I'm a tech and could look at it if needed. Y5 would look at it too I'm sure

Sweet lookin rig! For 4 grand that seems like a good deal.

I know here in Canada it would be double the price.

The only thing i dont like is that lower chrome trim, dirt & grime always gets behind there and starts surface rust.

The lower chrome trim will be the first thing to go and any other chrome that I can get off fairly easy.

I'd plan on 2 g's for shipping.....

I was going to make the same comment on the shipping cost. With it being so long and lifted you can't fit it on a normal semi car transporter which is the best rate (since they are hauling probably 5-8 cars at the same time).

Doubt it would be much cheaper to fly out and drive it back by the time you buy a plane ticket, gas, and the living expenses for the trip (food, hotels, etc...). Even with the overdrive it would be lucky to hit 10 mpg.

Yea i figured around $2,000-2,500 based on when you had your's shipped, I know its going to cost more due to it being a dually and is making me think flying out and driving back might be cheaper.

yeah, just wanted to give ya an idea.. i was 1800, narrowed down to srw in the back, no bed... i could have gotten it cheaper probably if i had waited for a low bidder, but i wanted it quick...

for me, shipping was the obvious way to go, I can make more money staying here and working, than the time off and fuel to go get it... not to mention not having to drive thousands of miles in an unknown rig...

Don't forget the cost of tires. Looks like it has LTB's on it which you would be lucky to get to get 15,000 miles out of on that truck, so 2,500 miles is a large chunk of their life.

Looks like its a no go, guy hasnt got back with me on when or where I could get someone to go look at it. Oh well, Ill keep looking and end up finding something better.
