There seems to be a lot of people swapping 4L80's in their K5's recently. Isn't it longer? Do they need a custom cross member or can the adapter mount at the stock location?
I would say you are definitly going to have to build either a custom cross member or trans mount. It dependes on how close the 4L80E trans mounting piont comes to the factory cross member. You will probably need to have a custom drive shaft built as well, but it will be worth it it the end because 700R4 transmissions SUCK big time.
