Do you insure your rig for a minimum state requirements, maket value or speciefied value? The blue book on my K5 is much less than the market value? ANY SHORT CUTS?
Deductables, minimum driven miles, second vehicles..yada yaaaada yada....In the near future my K5 will just be for R&R - and much needed recreational purposes, but I want coverage if its totaled just like everyone.....any ideas

I just have liablility on my '73, but I did list the suspension lift, and winch, along with oversize tires. Don't know if it will help any if someone smokes into me, but it can't hurt. I have it as my daily driver and my '96 Monte as the ocasional driver(and full coverage). This saved me the most since the K5 is much older. I also have a multi vehicle discount, safe driver discount, a college degree discount, and a defensive driving course discount. Insurance in thru "Liberty Mutual" and is about $82 a month combined.

I just have basic old liabiilty cause insurance companies don't like 18 year-olds. If you have any cool toys get theft and if you have a killer paint job or something get vandalism because it seems there are some people in this world who cant hadnle others having something nice.

(Please direct all hate mail to "Blazer_Boy" because I don't think "BlazerBoy" would appreciate it

I've got full coverage through USAA. My insurance runs me about $60 a month. The deductable is $500 though. None of the extra goodies are really covered though.

just liability, fire ins is like an additional 17 dollars a year, - good student discount, - low mileage, (cough), -driver safety course, =around $975 per year. Not bad for a 19 year old male drag racing speed machine hormone freak!!!
