Well two years and just over $4000.00 dollars later.... all I need to do is bend the drag link.

TBI conversion

Hydro assist and home made diff cover

Testing the flex

More testing

And this is the reason you need a bent drag link. I found a straight one around the shop to test the steering with and I got pretty stuffed in the cross member

One more of the diff cover.... I'm proud

And the rock sliders

Well I hope this doesn't blow up in my face, but I'm open to criticism. You can be nice too

looks pretty good to me. If it makes you feel any better Ive got 4 years and about $6000 invested and Im still 3/4ton, stock steering, carbed 350 and bald 35s. then I rolled it and have to start over from the beginning. luckily Ive got a good truck for $250 and already have all the parts I need to start where I left off. you've done some pretty darn good work and have an awesome blazer in my opinion.

oh and for the criticism, If it were me and I had the money or fab skills I would make a new engine crossmember or get one of those ord crossmembers so you dont have to bend the drag link.

i think...

1) that ram is in trouble...
2) it has way to much sheetmetal
3) that its a sweet truck. :thumb:

Every thing looks saweet. I agree with jek on the ram though. Any way you can mount it so it doesn't bump the rocks?

I thought the same thing, but the ram was free, it was on an old log spliter, and my dad replaced it in the summer. So I did what I could to protect it, I made a skid plate for the ram housing and hope I can put a tire on the rock that would crush the rod. I don't know though.

I say:

Nice job on the diff cover!

Fender trim looks good. Looks a lot like how I did my truck, and you did a very clean job from what I can see.

Crossover might benefit from using the superlift dropped pitman. Might give you enough clearance.

I see you have high steer, so I'd seriously think about moving the ram up to the tie rod with the mount maybe incorporated into the beefy cover you made.

Good work on the rock sliders too.
