Well, the owner said "the inner/outer rockers, floors are bad, but everything else is pretty solid. The cab is the only problem."

That's the whole f'n truck.

A cab swap is probably the best bet. Once you dive into it, I'm sure you'll find the cab supports and cab corners will be rotted too.

Shortbed 4x4s are getting hard to find.

There is a solid cab on craigslist in Salem, OR area right now - that doesn't much help you unfortunately...
