What do you use your K5 for?

My stock '91 is basicaly a weekend driver but i like it so much that i drive to work a couple times a week too. That's a +50 miles single trip on the highway and i rarely go under 75 mph. Bonus here is that most people have never seen a K5 before and get out of my way as soon as they see me coming :)

I want to do a swap as well and it makes me wonder if it's worth it bc my k5 isn't perfect. I wish I had waited until I could afford a much better truck to make all these improvements to.

I say as long as you have a solid frame go for it, the body can be finished later and once it's done, for the first few months you'll be grinning ear to ear with a modern drive train

Yep. Crazy weekend...
Pretty sure it was '91 last time I was there. My last year at Auburn. I don't know when Kenny Stabler's last trip was, but of course he was there. He died this past year ya know. :( Thanks for sending me thru some great memories. Our trip got a little crazier than it needed to be. I laid down my bike the night before we left. My friends scooped me up the following afternoon with bandages, sling, pocket full of pain pills, booze, and off we went. I had no ****ing idea a fish could be hurled by an otherwise ordinary looking human being. Holy shit. Have fun and stay safe

Used the winch on the Jimmy hooked to a snatched block attached to one post of my lift, to pull the Allis - Chalmers tractor into the barn.
I did this to put my car in the garage, since I bought it with no engine. So I should have included that the K5 gets used to drag people out of the ditch, move trees and put cars in the garage. Currently I'm scheming how to use the winch to erect a large swingset.

I used to use my old jimmy for 'household chores' also, like knocking down fences and pulling trees/bushes...

Oh, well, is there a "general property utility" category? I used my Blazer to pull down some interior additions in the shop, have winched out the lawn tractor, and I vaguely recall parking it next to the house and standing on the cage to clean out a gutter, easier than a ladder.
