what does it sound like when a shocks seal blows...

anyone actually heard any noise when the rubbery seal thing that seals where the piston shaft thingy goes into the shock body blows?? if so, what'd it sound like? I think i might have cooked that seal with exhaust gasses.... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

If the seal went out fluid will be leaking our of your shock.

ok cool... think i figured out what the noise was... seems that one of my front shocks had a loose nut... it managed to work its way off, then the bolt flew out. bad times! thankfully the way i have them mounted they couldnt fall over and hit the ground or anything. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif enter the locking nuts, grade 8 of course...
