Hey guys,
I need to replace my drag link. I have a stock draglink, but I have 7 inches of lift. I just want to make sure that I get the correct replacement. Do I need to get an adjustable link that is built for suspension lift, or is my knuckle already compensating for lift (sorry if its obvious)?

Also, I can only seem to find a "tie rod sleeve" and tie rod ends, not just a "draglink".

Is this the correct setup, for replacement?

...or can I just but the whole draglink somewhere?...

Thanks!

Can't help you with part numbers but I can tell you that the draglink should be basically parallel to the ground when viewed from the side..... Or slightly raked down toward the steering knuckle.

The "sleeve" is that threaded center part (one left hand thread, one right hand thread). If it cleans up well you can just reuse that and buy two new draglink ends. Get the Moog brand if possible, they are good quality.

If your steering is sloppy, replacing these ends will probably tighten things up dramatically.

Hey guys just put in new moog ends and sleeve and steering is much more solid!

Do I need to grease the new ends? They came with (zerk?) fittings in the box.

Yes you need to grease them once installed, otherwise they will burn up in pretty short order. As for steering correction, it sure appears that steering arm is already set for the lift, but as Greg72 said, you need to make sure it is parallel to the ground when viewed from the side.

I'd say the drag-link should be somewhat parallel to the spring,
since springs with big arcs moves the axle rearward on compression.

Yes!! Grease them, and re-grease every once in a while... That will definitely help with premature failure
