i need a new rear driveshaft and didnt know whether they even came on any different vehicles besides the blazer/jimmy, and what timeframe are they all the same. It's an 87 K5, the shaft is 29.5" from center of one u-joint hole to the other. thanks.. and if you have one for sale, please let me know..

Any K5 with a 208 transfercase should have what you are looking for. You just need to know which ujoint you have the S44 or the 1350.

S44 ujoints were usually in 700R4 trucks and SM465 trucks came with 1350 driveshafts. I am not sure which ujoints were in the military K5s with TH400/208s.

So basically if you have a 700R4 you need to find a shaft from a truck with a 700R4. If you have an SM465 you need a shaft from a truck with an SM465. If you have a 14bff or whatever with a 1350 ujoint and you run the conversion joint then get a driveshaft from an SM465 truck and you won't need a conversion joint anymore.

All K5's with the 208 and probably the 241 also have the same length rear driveshafts. The only difference is the ujoints in them. All Chevy's with a 208 or 241 have the same length front driveshaft with the same ujoints.
