What fan and clutch for 350tbi

The fan you linked is clock wise or standard rotation if you have serp system like me you need reverse rotation.

I have a flex a lite fan with a spacer, no clutch, My engine is a 93 TBI 350 and never a problem with cooling. I do have a 4 core radiator too. I will have to see which fan I have. Seems like it was a 7 blade. I have been running it for about 11 years.

Thanks for the reply but im pretty set on sticking with traditional blade and clutch.

Yeah I forgot your backwards, I was looking for mine. Wasn't difficult googlefu to find the combination for older setup.

Yeah your engine there was a six blade fan I had that was the ticket. I don't remember if I gave it away or scrapped it at one point or I would dig it up for you.
As for the 7 blade and 5 blade they were interchangeable same diameter.
I had both and when I got the chance I always used the 7 blade.

Any idea the application the 6 blade was used for? Still looking

Haven't had much luck finding a 7 blade, six blades were used on cars at the begining of fan clutches.
I found Derale 17119 normal gen 1, and17919 counter clock, reverse water pump. I have a 17919 I don't need ordered by mistake.

should be the right fan. I put it on my clutch before I figured it out it was wrong for me. hows 40 sound shipped

Thats about what they are going for so not a bad price. I will think on it and let you know. Thanks mike

The other option, is to run the 11 blade Vortec 5.7 liter plastic fan. The Vortec fan is attached to a fan clutch, that threads onto the water pump. The bolt pattern, where the fan bolts to the clutch is the same, so you can bolt the Vortec fan to a tbi fan clutch, and put it into the original fan shroud. I have a 78 k5, with an 89 Tbi engine, with an 89 heavy duty fan clutch, with an 11 blade Vortec fan, in the factory fan shroud. 95 degrees with the a/c on, at 1mph 4wheeling, is no problem!

Interesting option.

Is the logic more blades = more volume of air flow? (Is that a known fact or speculation?) seems logical, just curious if a comparison was done.

Given the same pitch, and same surface area of each blade, more blades equal more air flow. Also equals more drag, so a heavier duty fan clutch is required.

I will say that after saw how the parts fit together with the Vortec fan swap on the @500$k5 truck , I did the swap on my '90 Jimmy as well. Mine works well, even though the fan isn't half in/ half out as it should be.
