What fluid for the 205, and magnum underdrive are you guys running? Also what in the dana 60 and 14 bolt? I'm going to replace all fluids, need oil and radiator fluid, brake fluid, what power steering fluid,? Synthetic?

Any clutch pack type anything, I avoid synthetic. That includes posi and automatics

I’m using dex6 in my 465/203/205

The magnum should probably have ATF as those planetary sets were in ATF in the factory design.
You could use it in the 205 as well.

I use ATF in my power steering, as I have an automatic transmission. But I also use full synthetic Schaeffer's which isn't in many stores.
The axles, I use semi-synthetic 75W-90.

I have a manual transmission, so no atf anywhere on my rig. I run Amsoil 75-140 in everything.

So other than my nv4500, I could run 75/140 in the magnum and the 205 and the axles... sounds like the plan, now to find a 5 gallon bucket...

Keep in mind, I’m running synthetic. Even the 75-140 is thin. I definitely wouldn’t run conventional 75-140 in the magnum.

I have several 3hr drives at 70-75 mph with no venting or puking issues.

I run Lucas 80w/90 in my diffs (60/14) and trans (465). Lucas hi-zinc 10w/30 to keep my hydraulic flat tappet mill happy. Lucas p/s fluid and Lucas atf in my 208.
Damn, I should be sponsored by those guys :D

Haha, I’m the same way with Amsoil.
I even use their grease, p.s. fluid, brake fluid, silicone spray etc…

Amsoil used to let anyone buy a vendor membership thing via their website and then you'd get a reasonable discount on products. The last time I did it the discount made it worth it.

Magnum and 205 really don't care what they run. Making the decision based on carrying common fluids is fine since they really don't care. The magnum does like a synthetic since capacity is relatively low but past that, ATF, NV4500 fluid or gear oil will work fine. Same with the 205. You can make them the same as the axles or the trans or all of it if you have the right manual transmission.
Power steer has lots of topics on it if you search. We run Amsoil tractor hydraulic oil and have for a long time with no problem. The other one we've run a lot of is the factory GM power steering fluid. This one was popular in the desert race world because apparently the GM fluid is really good for a dino blood and has lot of anti foaming additives.
