Not sure what guage, but a few years back a bunch of us put some calipers to our frames to see what the average thickness was. Mine measured .151" thick as did most others. The variance was very little, not more than a couple of thou between all that checked their frames.

Just for a reference, .125 is 1/8" and .1875 is 3/16".
.151 would be between 6 and 7 gauge.
