I am trying to decide what gear ratio would be best for my truck. I just got a d60 and 14b ff. I am not sure of the gears that are in them as of right now I am guessing either 4.56s or 4.10s. I plan to run 44s on my truck with either a th400/205 or 465/205 not sure wich yet but I already have both. The truck will see mostly mud and trails and will not be on the road very much. So would 456s or 410s be ok or should I go with 5.13s? /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

With 44's and the trails go with the 5:13's. I run 40's and I am planning on going to 5:13's. Gives you some low end. Guy I run mud with has a manual with a good 454 and 44" Boggers. Powers out in real deep mud with 4:56 gears.

dude if your going with 44's go with the 5:13's i have 38's and 4:10's and wish i had 4:88's and i also have the sm465 np205 combo

For 44s, go 5.13, you'll probably still wish it were lower... But you'll need to swap the C14 for a D70 to do that...

i would have to agree with the 5.13s. my friend had a truck on 40s with 4.10s and an sm465/205 and it could have used the extra gearing to turn the meats. Unless your looking for gas mileage which will be non existant anyway id say run the 5.13s
