I know how to count the stinking rotations but I always get confused when I'm counting (I know how to count, so that isnt it...) I know I count the wheel revolutions and the driveline revolutions... then what???
Is there a easier way???

An easy way to get a good guess is to tape a piece of string to the driveline (on bottom), tie a washer to the hanging end of the string - now move the rig forward for one revolution of the wheels, then count the number of wraps the string makes around the driveshaft. It won't give you an exact figure, but will get you pretty close.

a gasket for the rear is $5 and gear oil is another $5. When was the last time your diff oil was changed and your gears were inspected?
