what gears are these??

im tryin to figure out the what the gear ratio is in my parts truck. i know there is a way to tell what they are by the numbers punched into the ring gear. so heres the numbers: 4018181340GM11-92 thanls for any help thats given.
 
is that all the numbers there should be a space well kinda and like 41-11 or somthing like that

40/13=3.07692=3.08
 
Well, hell... if you have the gears out enough to read the numbers, just count the teeth and divide! :wink1:

Ring gear divided by pinion gear will give you the ratio.
 
Probably a good call. If Canadian skeeters are anything like Michigan skeeters, you'd probably pass out from blood loss before you finished counting.

Reading the numbers off the edge of the ring gear is a lot easier than trying to count the teeth.
