I found this number on the ring gear (3817779 14:43 GM 02761). I don't know wat to divide by What, can someone help. thanks its for a 12 bolt.

14:43 is the pinion:ring gear tooth counts. Divide.
interestingly, that truly does equal 3.07, but GM literature all says the ratio was 3.08. Not that it really matters, just interesting.
