What gears do I need?

I've got a 91 Jimmy, pretty much stock accept for a 4" lift and 35's. I want to put better gears in it but I'm not sure which ones. I want to be able to drive her on the street and still have good gearing for the trails. Would 4/10's be a good choice?

If you still have the factory 10 bolt axles i wouldn't suggest going with anything more than 4.56's. I'm running 4.56's in my rig with 35's and i'm pretty happy with it. I probably could have gone with 4.88's and been perfect but not going to regear now for the cost and the little bit i would gain. If you look around you might be able to find some axles that already have 4.10 or 4.56's and just swap axles. This would be your cheapest route.

i'm happy with my 3.73's but i have a manual. guessing you have an automatic so i'd go with 4.10's as well

i have 456 in my truck an di love it. i can cruise at 70 with no problem, its very similar to when it had 31s on it.

5.38's!!!!!!!!! haha, I would recomend 4.56 gears, they will be really nice with the 35's and it gives you the option to someday go to 37's or maybe 38's.
