Alright my dad is going to look at a lift for his truck that comes w 35 bfg M-t that he doesnt want:D What ratio do yall run with this size of tire. Im not sure yet if i'll regear my axles or if ill go to the yards and find 3/4 tons with the right ratio.

This is an 84 k-5 350/th400/208 and 10b's

One more Noob question I've already got AAl's, to run 35s all i'll need would be either a shackle flip and 4" front spring. Or could i run a 2" or 3" BL and clear it

That depends

A "general" rule of thumb is to multiply .12 by the tire size you want to run and that will get you pretty close.

.12X35=4.2 so 4.10 would probably be just fine.

It also depends on what the truck will be used for...DD, off road, towing, etc.

Hope this helps.

I run 4.56 with my 38x12.50's and it works out fine for all around.

I am currently running 4.10's with the 350/700r4/35" tire combo, and actually could probably use alittle more, it tries to hunt too much while at highway speeds between O.D. and 3rd, i have to "push" it to get it into OD, but then when i let off to try to cruise, it will loose speed and eventually drop back down into 3rd as i try maintain the speed.

These are of course speeds of 75+ out here in Arizona :p:

Maybe i am just going too fast with a vehicle with the aerodynamics of a brick? :D

I think it depends on what tranny you're running too. I've got SM465 with 4.10's and 36's and it's turning a little too much rpm for me on the highway. I'm probably going to stick with the 4.10's when I go to 38's just for the highway manners. Although I'll eventually go doubler for the slow moments. :D

Running 3.73 gears with my 35's. Turns around 2850 rpm at 70 mph. The doubler drops the ratio enough for the off-road stuff.

4.10 with the 700r4 is a nice highway friendly set up. Sometimes I think maybe I should've gone with 4.56 but it's a close call.

I have 700R4 with 4.56 and 35's but need more gear so in the future 5.13's will go in.

I ran 4:56 gears in my 78 for a while 350/350/203 and I had hard time on the highway... So you need to think on how your going to use your truck mostly....

i had 373 with 35s and that was fine. if you had overdrive i would say to go with 5.13s, but u dont have od. go with 4.10s

I've got 35s and the SM465 with a set of 4.10s. They aren't bad on the high way, about 3000rpm is about 75mph. I don't go too long on the highway. But around town the 4.10 is perfect ratio. On the trail I never had a problem with gearing. Then again I have a 6.55:1 granny gear :)

i run (sm465) 3.73 with 35's does ok for me but rpms are a little higher on the highway than i like so i might go back to a 37'' tire when these go.

I have 4.10s with the 700, and I absolutely hate it. I'm going to 4.88's, and a 465, when I through the 38.5's on :) well it will be the 465, then 38.5's then gears.
