What Gears??

Trying to figure out what gears I have in my Blazer. Its an 85 with the 6.2l diesel, Im PRETTY sure they are stock but Im not sure. I found some numbers on them but they seem like some kind of code, or stock number...anyone know where I can find what this code means??
whats stamped on them is (as best as I could read)
2GM1235928 12 41 1 85
*some of the first part I could barely make out but the last part (12 41 1 85) was for sure. thanks for any help /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

those would be 3.42 (41/12) made in january 85 (1 85) /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

[/ QUOTE ] these numbers here, the 12 is the pinion and the 41 is the ring gear, divide the munbers and you get 3.41666667=3.42 /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

the numbers after that is the date 1 being the month, january and 85 being the year.

the numbers before that are the part number or the casting number, not sure exactly.
