When i first joined the sit 1/4 elliptical was what everyone was talking about...im not interested in doing it just havent heard much about it for a long time now for it being such a hot topic at the time...

I dunno . No offense to anybody here , but most people like bolt on parts. Not many people here make thier stuff custom . Seem's like leaf's are in around here and even 52's etc are now considered a bolt on . Me personally I like custom stuff that isn't just bolt on . But different stroke's for different folk's. My s10 Is getting Linked . I had leaf's on my last sfa S10 and link's are jsut so much cooler.

1/4 liptic suspension is a little difficult to set up. Its almost easier to run coilovers or coils. Personally, I'm going to try my 52s and 64s. If I'm not happy with the flex I think I may try a 3/4 elliptic rear suspension

a regular leaf spring is 1/2 elliptic. 1/4 would be half a leaf spring. 3/4 would be a full leaf spring and then instead of a shackle and shackle hanger, you would have a shackle to a leaf that is then connected to the frame.

i've never even seen anything like this before. wow
yea I like the idea behind 3/4 elliptic. Its pretty simple to set up and If I were to put it on my truck I already had an idea of a way to pin the 1/2 spring in place in case I didn't want a lot of travel.

Some people will say that this setup will cause the rear suspension to unload excessively when going downhill, which is true, but nothing a center mounted limit-strap, or rear mount winch could prevent. I plan on installing a rear mount winch to suck the rear down for downhill decents

i needed the winch on the rear of our skidder strapped to a tree today. got turned sideaways on a hill and swear that rear tire got round 4-5 foot off the ground

why didn't you leave the c-clamp holding the spring on??

looked like it was a doing a good job :D
