well chevy boys.. i bought a ford..:eek1:

05 f150 supetr crew. ive added bigger fule injectors, biger fuel rail,msd coil packs, msd ign., programmer, intake, headers, flowmaster side exit, 6" lift, 35 xtc xterrains, slotted rotors, stainless lines, dvd deck, sub,, blah blah b;lah..

Wow a lot of upgrades on a new truck.

ahhaa let the flaming begin...... the chevies cant keep up too this truck.. im allready for a supercharger thats why the fuel rails and injectors.. now just need inline fuel pump.. bigger..
 
Ok I just have a few questions. 1) why go with the ford when its basicaly the same truck as a chevy? **In an 05 you could get the 4 door short bed half ton chevy** 2)isnt the front suspention on that ford IFS just like a chevy? 3) what engine?

Not bustin your chops just seams to me that particular ford is almost the same as a comprable chevy.

Well, I'm guessing part 2 will be what your going to tow with that thing. At least I hope so.

1) the simalarities (sp?) end there. the fotrd's interior is waaay nicer. ford is the first too use rack and pinion steering on atruck ( steers like a car)

2) nope.. its a coil spring/ mac strut set up.. chevy torsion bar drives waaay nicer.

3) the 5.4ltr. same motor as the ford gt, the mustang cobra. these motors are awesoem platforms too build on.. super strong from factory.

im a chevy guy thru and thru but ya cant be ignorant....
 
doesn't sound like he's done here. by the time he is, he'll have pick-up that costs as much as a diesel but won't haul like it.

at what point will the cost of this half ton tow rig equal the cost of a
f-250/350 tow rig? I know you will have at least 5k wraped up in a supercharger upgrade. then the tranny will go then the weak rearend,ect......

1) Chevrolet has been using steering racks in their trucks for years.

2) good point torsion bars do suck

3) Same block...I think the word you were looking for was awesome... and its a ford

Not trying to rain on your parade... I think its a good looking truck, I just hate the interiors. But before you call someone ignorant make sure that your not.

nope didnt miss ahting.. dont want a diesel. i want a gas motor. i'll only be haulin twice amonth maybe....and distance will be bout 30 minutes drive time. i live very close too our wheelin areas. for comp my partner has a built dodge. my ford will be towing the camper trailer.:D

buefchris... im allready at 74,000...dollars spent.



solid axle sub.. its a 9 3/4 " rear end.. the truck is rated too tow 9500 lbs.

and i wasnt callin anyone in particular ignaorant i was tryin too say that you have too keep ur eyes open too all brands. just cauze i think the blazer is the best vehicle ever built doesnt mean i have too buy a new chevy cauze i love my blazer so much...

Thats insane dude...for that price you could have got a 1/2 ton F*rd to use as a dd and is super plush as well as a nice tow rig.

I got my 2000 crew cab short bed c2500 with a Big Block, brand new 4L80E, 14ff with 4.10's and a limited slip for $13,000 and I guarantee you I can tow more in bone stock form than your $75,000 rig... So yeah everyone is entitled to their opinions and heck its your money so do w/e you want but don't be surprised if we think you're nuts! ;)

Nice interior btw :)
