Last winter I was driving my truck (77' K5) and opened the glovebox and I heard something break and it fell onto the floor. It was about -40 out so I suppose that was a contributing factor. So anyways the other day I finally got around to looking at it and I put the glovebox back in and it will lock in place, but when I open it, it will fall out onto the floor again because there's nothing to hold it in place but the latch. I was looking at it and up in the dash and could not find anything just wires and sharp screws (ouch).

There is Screws along the bottom of the dashboard that hold them in.i cant remember how many though.

If you can post up some pictures so we can see what broke.

Oh boy. I saw that when I looked but I didn't think that's what it was. I will take a closer look tomorrow and let you know. Thank you very much for that!!!

those 4 screws hold it, and if the glove box fell off, then you need a new plastic liner. The hinge is part of the plastic.

You guys are awesome! Thanks alot. I went out and looked and it looks like the plastic broke off perfectly along the line, all the screws are still in place. So it looks like I will have to order a new plastic liner.
