Swapping the motor, lift and axles into my 72' blazer, then selling my shortbox.

today we got the motor, tranny, and x-case installed and bolted in, The front axle and lift, Tomorrow is the backend, Hooking up all the accessories on the moter, terminated the new harness to the engine components, amd all the loose ends.

I sure do miss my 40s! I traded them off for these 35s so that I wouldnt have to cut fenders on a classic!

looks like your gonna have some fun, how much you selling the short box for.:D

I gotta do some checking around as far as what it is worth. It wont have the 35s on it when I do sell it though.

I hate these posts where people talk about everything they got done this weekend. I just can't compete with you guys! :doah:

This was my most productive weekend (vehicle wise) in literally years. I fixed a small wiring issue on my DD ( 1/2 hour and now my gages work :D ), I finally got the fill plug out of my 14BFF (thank you, thank you, I know you worship me now), and I finished pulling my tranny. It took me three weekends to get the tranny out - and that was with the t-case, crossmember, and most of the fluid & electrical connections already off! I guess I could get more done if I had more than a couple hours a weekend to devote to car/truck projects.

Anyway, great looking trucks and good work!

blazer is looking nice. i did the same swap on my old blazer but it wasnt a 1st gen. i liked it alot better than the truck it all came out of.

well 10 sawsall blades later i got both the rear bolts out of the blazer rear springs! Antisiezed everything that went back in...gotta get the motor accessories and whatnot done now, just little things....all the heavy stuff is now done
