Not sure if this is the best place to ask but.

I have the running 4bolt 350 out of my 91 that I might sell. With all the 5.3 6.0 6.2 conversions going on I don't know what to ask for it.

It was running fine when I pulled it to put a GMPP crate 383 in the suburban. It's sitting in my shop since then. I guess 3 years now. It's a long block, intake to exhaust.

I know it's been rebuilt at least once. It has number stamps on the main caps. I should have pulled a main cap and check the bearing for size. Odometer shows 198k

Couple hundred usually. Nothing else the racers still use those blocks

Might could pull more if you find someone willing to buy it slightly disassembled...

I'd personally feel better paying more for a used engine knowing that I can pull the heads and oil pan and check it out.

I think I got $150 for the engine I pulled out of my truck, running. And that was letting them pull the pan, and pulling a rod and main cap off, look at the underside of the pistons, the bores, etc.

Personally if I can't see and hear it run, I'm taking a gamble that there isn't a serious internal problem. At best, the cost of a bare block.

With the cost of rebuilding a small block being not a whole lot more than you can buy crate motors for anymore (and actually less if you go with an aftermarket rebuild) you don't have much of a pool of buyers.

I assume since they can keep using all the external stuff from the last engine they built, the racers I know still use two piece blocks, not to mention parts selection for pans and flexplates/flywheels still seems at least slightly better fro the older two piece blocks.

The 1991 TBI 350 was a one-off year engine. It was the first 4-bolt main TBI engine with 9:1 (maybe more)
compression. If you look at the head casting and do a search for it, you will find it was a 64cc head made for one year and one year only. The only thing worth any money on this engine is the 4-bolt main block. There is something about the cast iron metal-urgy on these year blocks that makes them desirable.

And to think that I gave it away practically when I sold the 4l80e and the 205
