I found a 241 with mechanical speedometer and checked it out. It shifts easily and it doesn't feel like there is much slop when i turn the tail shaft with it in park, at least there is a lot less slop on it than my 208  . The case is in good shape but he doesnt know the miles that are on it and i won't know anything until i open it up. He wants 150 for it. Is that too much?
thanks for the help,
kyle

I also was wondering if that would have the right spline # for an '83 blazer with a 700r4 and 6.2 diesel. He said that it also came off of a 700r4, but he didn't know what year. I am guessing it was an '89 and i know they changed the 700r4's in '87. Anyone know if it would be the right splines?
Thanks again
kyle

TH700 is 27-spline the whole way through.

$150 sounds like a good deal for any 1-year-only tcase.

the 208 came behind the 700 from 82 to 88 or 88 then it was swapped to a 241. They will bolt right in same adapters. Clocking ring works for both. 241 has a lower low range and is a little stronger.
