im looking in to getting a ford 60 and everyone keeps talking about the 60s out of a snowfighter 250...what is up with this axle and what makes it so specail??

A snowfighter is a type of Ford F250 that had an HD front axle for the F250. It basically is a F250 with the F350 high pinion D60 front axle in it. F250's didnt typically have the D60 they had the D44 except for the Snowfighters which did get the D60 front.

They are the same HP60 you would get in a F350 from the same years.

78-79 F350's & F250 snowfighters had the more rare Hi Pinion Kingpin D60 front axle in them that alot of people really like because of the Kingpin strength & the high pinion for driveshaft safety.
